Enjoy peaceful paddling in the unique habitat of the Placencia Lagoon. Here your guide can help you spot various sea birds and, occasionally, manatee and dolphin.
Trips are for (4) hours during either morning or afternoon. Departure times to be arranged.
Your guide will take you to an island off-shore of Placencia, or (depending on the weather) possibly boat to the islands and guide you back to Placencia. Your day will be spent paddling crystal clear waters and snorkeling around various islands. The inner cayes, sometimes referred to as ‘The Range’, offers not only snorkeling along coral patch reefs dotted with colorful fish, but mangrove snorkeling as well. Because these islands don’t see a lot of visitors, there is an abundance of marine life. Your maximum paddle time is 4 hours, and your snorkel gear and lunch is included. Departure time – 9:00am
For your personal adventure heading up the lagoon, we provide you with a map, tell you about the points of interest, and what to look out for in wildlife. Should you choose to go to the inner cayes from the end of the peninsula, you can easily find your way back, as the landmarks are easy to make out. Departure time is on your time, just be back before sunset.
